1965-1992 with postings to Ottawa 69-71 (AETE Uplands); 74-77 (NDHQ Ejection Systems Program Manager); 79-80 (NDHQ NDT Program Manager), Cold Lake 71-74 (AETE) ;83-85 (Deputy BAMEO); 89-92 (BAMEO), RMC 77-79 (Graduate School), North Bay 86-89 (BTSO), Toronto 85-86 (Staff College), and RAF Swanton Morley 80-83 on exchange with the RAF as OC Aircraft Integrity Monitoring Squadron.

Married: 1969 to the love of my life Karen Hainstock.
 

Children: 2 daughters, Kellie and Jennifer both U of A Grads

Kellie is a Superintendent with Edmonton Police Services and Jennifer is a Teacher in Stony Plain AB.

Grandchildren: Emily 23, Ella 22, Allison 20 and Josh 17. Emily and Ella are U of A grads and working in their professional fields; Allison is in 3rd year U of A after 2 years on a ball scholarship in Michigan and Josh is finishing HS and going to work in the Trades.

Civilian Career:

CC130 Hercules Program Manager at Northwest Industries/ CAE Aviation 1992-99 in Edmonton.

CEO and President of Integrated Flight Systems 1999-2000 in Edmonton.

Managing Director Prairie Region and Alaska Canspec/Acuren NDT Inspections Services 2000-2010 in Edmonton.

Director NDT Training for Quality Control Council of Canada 2010-20 in Edmonton.

Retired: 2020

Hobbies:

Golf, travel, boating and gardening. We have travelled extensively in the UK and France, Mexico and the Caribbean. Traversed the Panama Canal on one of our cruises. Golf annually with the RMC Class of 69 gang of 16 – that is a must every year!!   Riding the waves with your grandkids on a 215HP Sea Doo and lazing around on a pontoon boat on a beautiful lake in BC or Idaho is a classic summer for our family.
