1971 – 2001 Security and Intelligence Branch, then name changed to Security Service then became its own Government Agency under the CSIS Act in 1984. Bristle at people calling us a Spy Agency. I viewed myself as a Spy Catcher.

Bicycled alone across Canada 1980. Best single day mileage – 210 miles (338 kms) on the Prairies

Climbed and descended Mt. Washington (1916m) on bicycle 3 times. 1 winter ascent hiking

2 Gold Coureur de Bois Canadian Ski Marathon (160 kms)

Canoed Kingston to Ottawa 5 times (202 kms) and

Port Severn to Trenton (386 kms)

Run 8 marathons

In 2016 when I was 69, I had an 11 year old grand daughter and a son who just graduated from RMC making me probably the oldest ex-cadet to have a son graduate from RMC
