Cross Country Skiing:

In 1985 we signed up our children in the Jackrabbit learn-to-ski program at the Nakkertok Ski Club, in Gatineau/Cantley, Quebec.  We had dreams of our family gliding through the snowy woods, but our two youngest had different ideas.  Both ended up with long and successful competitive careers as ski-racers, which led me to the following involvements:

·         2000-2004: Chair, National Capital District, Cross Country Canada (CCC)

·         2008-2014: Board Member, Cross Country Canada* (President 2008-2012)      since 2020 known as “Nordiq Canada

1998-2019: Cross Country Skiing race organizer and official, including:

·         As Chief of Competition, organized many racing events at Nakkertok and in the Gatineau area, including 5 Eastern Canadian Championship events (2001 through 2012), and a 2016 World Cup event in Gatineau, Quebec
